The Royal Oaks Civic Association (ROCA) was formed in 1958 when the first sections were being constructed. It was organized for social and administrative purposes, but the primary objective was and remains the enhancement and improvement of the subdivision for the benefit of property owners. Every homeowner is a member and becomes a member in good standing upon payment of dues and assessments. General Membership meetings are held at least twice annually, with notice of the dates and time announced in our publication, The Oak Leaf and on this site. The Board of Directors (officers and area representatives) are elected annually at the March General Membership meeting. The Board then meets as needed in the form of an executive committee at least four times annually.
ROCA actively participates in many areas, including governmental and civic affairs, mosquito fogging, neighborhood meetings, newsletters, and when necessary, legal action, both to protect our area from commercial threat and to maintain neighborhood standards as set out in our deed restrictions. The Board has been charged with rational and reasonable enforcement of deed restrictions and city code violations to prevent gradual deterioration in the living environment of the subdivision. Copies of the current deed restrictions may be obtained from our Secretary. All residents should obtain and be familiar with the complete deed restrictions. In 1998, the deed restrictions were revised and updated and all sections of the subdivision are now covered under the same deed restriction document.
This site was prepared with the intent of continuing the mission of ROCA. Current residents should make suggestions for changes or additions to the Board or Jason.
